The fixtures for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, running from Fri 8 September to Sat 28 October, will be played across France. The opening game and final will take place at Stade de France in Paris.
And it’s shaping up to be a fascinating event, with Ireland, the Grand Slam champions and world No 1, but hosts France still the Rugby World Cup favorites and three-time winners New Zealand just behind them in the bookmakers’ eyes. And, of course, there’s South Africa, who will defend their title after beating England 32-12 in the 2019 final in Japan.
In Pool B, Romania has replaced Spain after the latter’s appeal against their disqualification was dismissed in June 2022. Spain fielded an ineligible player during qualification.
Namibia, after beating Kenya 36-0 in the final of the Rugby Africa Cup in Aix-en-Provence, has secured their place at a seventh successive World Cup. They take their place in Pool A.
Chile, after beating the USA over two legs, will compete at their first-ever Rugby World Cup as Americas Two and take the final spot in Pool D, while Tonga completed Pool B by beating Hong Kong 44-22 in the Asia Pacific One play-off.
Lastly, Portugal, after defeating the USA in a two-legged showdown, has qualified for Rugby World Cup 2023. They are in Pool C.
All matches will be shown live on ITV in the UK and on RTÉ and Virgin Media in Ireland. The kick-off times below are UK & Ireland time.
